Job Opportunity: Theater Maintenance Technician
The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs seeks qualified candidates for the position of Theater Maintenance Technician (City of Dallas classification: Senior Maintenance Worker) at the Majestic Theater.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Interested candidates must have two (2) years general mechanical experience including construction/maintenance, building/grounds maintenance. They must be willing to assist and/or train other staff in skilled repair and maintenance tasks. The candidate must have a High school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license/good driving records and dependable transportation.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Requirements
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. The selected candidate may be subject to twenty-four hour emergency calls, and various shifts.
Working Conditions
Indoors–1,704 seat concert hall, stage, office, control rooms, backstage, lobby areas; Moderate to extreme heights on ladders, catwalk and canopies; electrical and mechanical hazards; requires extensive walking, carrying, dragging, holding, pulling, pushing, lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting body, walking, reaching, and squatting; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to cold, heat, constant noise, mechanical and electrical hazards, and fumes.
